PHILOSOPHY
Piccolo pottery was born out of the notion that every individual benefits greatly from a creative outlet. This allows one to express thoughts, feelings, and ideas. My passion is to guide and facilitate creative thinking through clay. I want to create an opportunity for typically developed individuals as well as participants with exceptionalities to explore art by overcoming any physical and conceptual barriers they are facing.
MISSION
At Piccolo pottery, my mission is to create a safe, communal space for all kinds of artists - to come together and express their creative sides. I believe in unlocking the creative within each and every one of us, and offer a wide range of classes for all students. Whether you’re looking for new inspiration, a brand new student hoping to learn a thing or two about art, or if you’re simply interested in picking up a new hobby, Piccolo pottery is here to welcome you into the fold.
TESTIMONIALS
From the Source
Marta has promoted the joy of artistic endeavours in our students. She has taught them to find the wellsprings of creativity. In leading them to this inner joy of creativity and the manifestation of it in their artistic products, she taught them to believe in their individuality, their creativity, their abilities and their self worth.

Marta has been very reliable and dependable, always showing a great measure of patience, creativity, energy, interest and passion in enhancing our participants' appreciation of love for art, learning and respect for one another. This role involves a great deal of preparation, understanding of the learning outcomes, and the ability to adapt a program for kids with special needs and unique learning styles.

My daughter has enjoyed her weekly creative arts and clay pottery class with Marta immensely. She is kind and patient with the kids while she teaches them pottery making and glazing techniques. She does an amazing job encouraging them to explore and building up their confidence to try new things. Marta engages the kids' imaginations with interesting themes and they are all so proud of the lovely pieces of artwork they each create every week!

Marta is not just a talented person who can see art in natural objects growing all around you but she has a beautiful soul and heart for disabled children like my daughter Isabelle, who just love the experience of showing their own artistic ability which Marta is able to bring to the surface with kindness and patience.
Marta is a fantastic artist who has spent many years teaching children including those with a disability the beauty of art.

My son loves Ms. Marta’s pottery class. He can always bring some pieces that make me really surprised. His imagination and art sense have been inspired a lot from Ms. Marta’s pottery class. Meanwhile, his hands-on ability got well developed as well. This class is strongly recommended.
